Mrs. Ellen Sharma Memorial Nursery & Primary School was founded between 1977-79 in memory of Mrs. Ellen Sharma, mother of Miss. Sakunthala Sharma, who believed that education is the greatest gift to a child. Inspired by this vision, Dr. Venkatesh Narayan Sharma envisioned a joyful learning space where children could grow without life’s hardships. As one of the first schools in Karapakkam, it played a key role in shaping education in the area. Its success led to the establishment of a sister school in Sholinganallur, which has thrived for over 25 years.
